Exhibitor tips
Dear exhibitors: join our green team and take action for the future! As an exhibitor at Welding Week, you play an essential role in helping to create a sustainable event. Below are some useful tips to make your participation more sustainable:
Stand Design & Waste
Choose a reusable all-in stand model from the organizer or design your own stand so that it can be reused multiple times. Work with your stand builder to make your stand as sustainable as possible! Avoid creating a disposable stand for a single event…
Create reusable signage (undated) from recyclable materials and with eco-friendly ink if possible.
Use LED lighting and other energy-efficient equipment for your stand and do not forget to switch it off at the end of the day.
Try not to use carpet, and if you really need it, preferably choose reusable carpet tiles. If you use regular carpet, ensure that it is recyclable and that it is recycled.
Travel & Accommodation
Whenever possible, choose public transport or carpool with your colleagues.
Choose a hotel within walking distance and/or with eco-friendly standards.
Logistics
Consolidate your shipments and preferably use transport and logistics companies with sustainable practices.
Prefer local suppliers to support the local economy and reduce transport.
Prefer suppliers with sustainable and responsible principles.
Nutrition & Food Waste
Bring your own reusable water bottle to use our water fountains and help us reduce the use of single-use plastics.
If you serve food at your stand, preferably choose locally produced and plant-based options and avoid the use of single-use plastics.
Avoid food waste and order only the required quantity.
Social responsibility
Actively participate in the various initiatives and discussions during the event that support the sustainable development of your sector.
Inspire visitors by showcasing the sustainable features of your products.
